HVAC Technician
Job Description
- Perform troubleshooting and repair on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related controls (thermostats, safety switches, contactors, capacitors, ignition components).
- Use proper diagnostic tools to confirm failures (electrical testing, temperature split, static pressure, airflow checks where applicable).
- Make reliable repair recommendations and verify system performance after service (startup checks, safety checks, combustion/venting checks if qualified).
- Document findings, parts used, and test results; communicate clearly with customers and coordinate with install team when replacement is needed.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and job readiness; follow dispatch scheduling and on-time arrival expectations.
- Follow safety and compliance standards (electrical, refrigerant handling per certification, PPE, ladder safety).
